Co-Chief Operating Officer, Ackerman McQueen / Branded News Worldwide
Hillary Farrell joined Ackerman McQueen fresh out of college in a "very entry-level position." Over a relatively short period of time, she has moved from that role to vice president, senior vice president, executive vice president, and, today, she serves as co-chief operating officer.
In January, she will become the COO for both the ad agency and its subsidiary technology firm, Branded News Worldwide.
"As I begin my ninth year with the company, I look forward to the vast opportunities ahead and reflect upon the innumerable experiences I've encountered," she says. "Both have fused to make me the leader, and the person, I am today."
Community service and civic endeavors include serving as president for East Central University Alumni Association's board of directors, and as a volunteer for various organizations, such as Junior League of Oklahoma City and United Way of Central Oklahoma.
Farrell considers her work with East Central University significant, as she has been with the board for more than nine years now.
"Not only is this experience exciting because it represents an opportunity to give back to my alma mater, my term also coincided with the university's centennial - a milestone and yearlong celebration," she says.
