Entrepreneurs, policy makers, creative thinkers and big dreamers will converge Nov. 15-17 in Oklahoma City for the seventh annual Creativity World Forum to highlight the best ideas, strategies and products from around the globe.
Held at Cox Convention Center, the three-day forum is designed to give participants a global understanding of creative thinking and partnerships to improve the world.
"This forum will feature 65 speakers from around the U.S. to talk about all aspects of creativity," says Cacky Poarch, event social media chair. "We are one of 12 Districts of Creativity, and getting this forum in Oklahoma City is like getting the Olympics in the city. We really had to campaign to get it here."
Formed in 2004, Districts of Creativity is a network of delegates from 12 worldwide regions. The delegates work together for creative innovation and policies. Oklahoma is the only American district.
Held in conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week, this year's forum focuses partly on entrepreneurship. Recognized as one of the top entrepreneurial events globally, it encourages the sharing of best practices and proven programs designed to promote and enhance creativity.
"A lot of the speakers and attendees coming from around the world are at the forefront of creative thinking," says Kathy Oden-Hall, Creative Oklahoma director of public relations and marketing. "This event will be a great opportunity to network with like-minded people. We hope everyone comes away with ideas to take back to their own lives, their own businesses, their own classrooms, labs
