“This new service will give Oklahoma City travelers more access to the attractions of San Francisco and the surrounding area, as well as provide options for onward connections to other destinations in the western U.S., Asia and Australia,” said James Starnes, United’s director of domestic planning in a prepared statement. “It will also provide a link between Oklahoma City’s growing bio-science community and the established bio-science community in San Francisco.”

The flight, numbered 6241, will leave Oklahoma City daily at 7:14 a.m. and arrive in San Francisco at 8:50 a.m. The daily return flight will leave San Francisco at 4 p.m. and arrive in Oklahoma City at 9:16 p.m. United Express carrier SkyWest Airlines will operate the flights on a CanadairCRJ7 regional jet.

The jet will seat 66, with six seats in first class, 28 in Economy Plus, and 32 in economy.
