Edmond's first quarter cost of living index ranks 8.1 percent below the national average, according to the latest Cost of Living Index by ACCRA, the association of community and economic development research professionals. Edmond's cost of living decreased 1.1 percent from the same period in 2010, to 91.9.

Edmond ranked below the national average in all six categories: grocery items (92.8), housing (85.4), utilities (89.7), transportation (99.2), health care (96.7), and miscellaneous goods (95.3).
