Oklahoma City-based networking and communications firm Sooner Network Solutions was acquired Aug. 1 by Florida-based Vology.
Both companies deal in new and pre-owned networking equipment. Sooner, founded in 2005, specializes in acquiring and selling used hardware from Cisco, and is a distributor for Extreme Network. Vology carries products from those two companies, as well as Juniper Networks, Brocade, Avaya, HP, Palo Alto, Meru and ShoreTel.
"We are pleased to become part of Vology and believe we share both operational systems and core corporate values of superior customer service, immediate access and attractive pricing," said Will Habekott, owner and CEO of Sooner. "Both organizations have a global focus, which is crucial in supporting future growth."
Vology does business in 80 countries. It has a testing and configuration laboratory, and more than $50 million of certified, pre-owned and new equipment in its inventory. The company provides same-day or next-day shipping on most of its items.
"As Vology continues to focus on growing both its sales and its geographic footprint, we're always interested in the right acquisition opportunities," said Vology CEO Barry Shevlin. "Sooner shares our commitment to speed, service, price and reliability, as well as having experience selling high-end networking solutions with significant discounts from manufacturers like Cisco."
