Central Oklahoma counties experience rise in unemployment for October



Although Oklahoma\'s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained at 6.9 percent from the previous month, central Oklahoma counties experienced a rise in unemployment.

Although Oklahoma's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained at 6.9 percent from the previous month, central Oklahoma counties experienced a rise in unemployment. Oklahoma County's October unemployment rate was 6.7 percent, a 0.3-percent rise from the previous month. The rate is 0.1 percent above the October '09 rate.

Canadian County's unemployment rate was 5.8 percent for October, which was 0.3 percent more than last month but 0.3 percent less than the October '09 rate.

Cleveland County's 5.7 percent unemployment was 0.3 percent higher than September '10, but 0.1 percent lower than last October's rate.
